Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, is a celebrated singer from Nigeria who has admitted that money is not the reason he is pursuing a music career.
The “Calm Down” crooner said that he does not create music only to make money but because of the desire and love he has for it .
in a recent interview with well-known YouTuber Korty EO. He continued by saying that he would still be working hard and looking for methods to make money even if he was not a musician.
The singer added that he wasn’t driven by money when he first started making freestyle videos and posting them online, which eventually led to his discovery by his record label Mavin Records. Instead, he was inspired by passion and love for the Art of music

“If music didn’t work, I will still be pushing that p in the corner while hustling, you understand.
“Even at that point where I was doing freestyles, I didn’t really need to do a freestyle because I needed money. I had money. I was actually good.”
