Jimmy Odukoya the main protagonist in the movie “The woman king” has been chosen to fill his late father’s position as senior pastor at the Fountain of Life Church.
On September 17, 2023, the announcement of Jimmy’s appointment was made in church.
This development came when Taiwo Odukoya, the church’s most recent senior pastor, passed away on August 17, 2023, in the United States, at the age of 67.
Last Saturday, the famous pastor was laid to rest in a private service that was attended by family and close friends.
Rotimi Okpaise, a pastor of the Fountain of Life Church, announced the shift of leadership by stating that the late Odukoya confided in the Board of Trustees (BoT) members about the succession plan before to his passing.
Speaking to the audience, Okpaise disclosed that the BOT had unanimously chosen Jimmy to serve as the senior pastor and board chair.
The board decided that Jimmy’s installation will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2023,” he remarked.
Odukoya passed away less than two years after his wife Nomthi Odukoya, a 47-year-old South African woman, lost her fight with cancer on November 9, 2021.
They had two kids together and were married for 11 years.
Odukoya previously had a 21-year marriage to Bimbo, who passed away in the tragic Sosoliso plane crash in Port Harcourt in 2005. Before Nomthi.
The coupling of Odukoya and Bimbo resulted in the birth of three children, among them Jimmy, who is currently in charge.
