Mohbad’s team promises to retrieve all Royalties from former record label

The late musician’s team has updated their statement on the musician’s passing.
Nigerians were shocked to learn that street-hop sensation Mohbad, who was only 27 years old, had passed away on September 12, 2023.
The Mohbad’s team thanked the public for its sincere condolences and expressed sadness about Mohbad’s death in a fresh statement that was made in the afternoon of September 16, 2023.

In the press statement, they also pledge to work with all pertinent authorities to determine how his death came to be.

Additionally, according to his reps, Mohbad was battling Marlian Music for his catalog and unpaid royalties in court before he passed away, and they plan to keep fighting for them.

We are grateful for the outpouring of love from the public after Mohbad’s passing.

The circumstances of his death are extremely distressing, and we are willing to offer whatever assistance required by the authorities to conduct any inquiries.

We are currently concentrating on ensuring that Mohbad’s legacy endures and that he is remembered as he was in his final months—free, strong, and fighting for his future.
Mohbad was in court just before he passed away to get back the majority of his songs and unpaid royalties that Marlian Music had illegally kept.

We will keep fighting to get his catalog and unclaimed royalties back so that those he left behind, particularly his son Liam Imole, will be taken care of.

We are fighting to get Mohbad’s catalog back from Marlian Music because we want to bring about the justice that Mohbad was fighting for. We will be grateful for any help you can provide us in this effort.

Imole lives on
