According to Uche, folks who don’t celebrate their divorce shows God they aren’t grateful for rescuing them from a bad circumstance.
Uche Maduagwu, a well-known Nollywood actor, has urged Nigerians to normalize divorce celebrations.
Uche claimed on his Instagram page that people who don’t celebrate their divorce aren’t thankful to God for rescuing them from a bad situation.
He made the point that many individuals are unable to escape difficult relationships, therefore if someone is fortunate enough to do so, they should be happy about it.
He explained the idea that divorce is a sign of failure by saying it is instead a celebration of bravery and independence in his subsequent remarks.
The contentious actor penned,
“People who don’t celebrate their #Divorce Anniversaries are being ungrateful to God because so many people are still in Bad and unhappy #Marriages that they are unable to walk out of, so if you are lucky enough to walk out of a #Marriage that does not bring out the #BEST in you, please CELEBRATE, it takes a special GRACE from God to achieve that Freedom”
