A Catholic priest teaching his members how to be romantic to their wives showed the world he had been listening to lots of Afrobeats as he started singing Ckay’s ‘Love Nwantiti’ song to them. Everyone in the audience roared in laughter at this unusual sight.
The priest was teaching at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Port Harcourt, exerting himself in showing the men how to make their wives always look younger and fresher by treating them well.
It seems his enthusiasm towards the pulpit task got the better of him, as instead of singing the usual sober hymns associated with the church, he broke out into a soulful Afrobeats song that trended massively on Tiktok, Love Nwantiti, written by Nigerian music sensation, Ckay.
He didn’t mind using what the members considered a secular and unclean song to drive his points through to them. The people seated were completely taken aback at how fluent the Catholic priest sang “Love Nwantiti.”

At the back of their minds, they all secretly listened to the uplifting romantic song from the safe cocoon of their homes. Little did they know that their Catholic Father also vibed to the song from his parish office.
They weren’t alone after all, and they laughed so hard as their priest sang romantically to them.
Waiting for the clergyman to miss a line, everyone was surprised at how the Father fluidly sang the entire first verse and pre-hook of “Love Nwantiti.”
After he finished singing amid laughter, he charged the men, saying, “When last did you sing for them?” Watch the comical moment when the Catholic priest sang Ckay’s “Love Nwantiti” here:
