In a formal statement issued on his verified X Twitter on Monday evening (September 11), the artist announced the postponement of his album tour.
Davido announced in the statement that following his next performance in Manchester, the remaining European dates on the “Timeless Tour” would be moved to the first quarter of 2024. Davido has been touring since the release of his album “Timeless” in April of this year.
He gave the choice’s justifications, citing production problems and his desire for putting on a fantastic show as two factors that contributed to the decision (despite the fact that fans had purchased tickets).
In addition, he advised those who had already bought tickets to keep them safe and hold off using them until fresh dates were revealed.
One of my biggest delights this year has been reuniting with all of you during my Timeless Tour, the statement said. Being able to see so many of you at sold-out concerts around North America and in Dubai has humbled me. Bless you all, the vibe has been fantastic.
I’m passionate about giving you a truly timeless experience, every show, every time – one that you all deserve. So, with this in mind, I’ve made the decision that after my first show in Manchester, I’ll be moving my remaining European dates until Q1 2024. The additional time allows us to sort out some of the production issues we have been experiencing and gives us time to improve and create a bigger and more immersive show.
