In the early hours of Friday morning, Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie, the husband of popular Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson and a federal lawmaker representing Esan North-East/Esan South-East in Edo State, narrowly escaped an assassination attempt made on him.
The incident occurred in his home in Uromi as Armed men, suspected to be political thugs stormed his residence.
As reported by the Punch Newspaper, Okojie’s media aide, Michael Ihaza, confirmed the development in a statement on Friday, saying that Okojie, the husband of the Nollywood movie Star, Mercy Johnson, was reportedly attacked at his residence by gunmen in a Lexus GX 470 carrying a Rivers State vehicle registration number – PHC 253 FF.
