Starting with the major conditioning that influenced the album cover, Asake heavily draws inspiration from Basquiat
On the album cover he is seen in a formal attire, a common dress choice in Basquiat’s pictures. His hair is also styled in a similar manner to Basquiat’s, and he is depicted holding a paintbrush, clearly alluding to Basquiat’s identity as a painter.
The album which was released on the 16th day of June posseses different dynamic sounds .

“I shaped this album as a letter, or envelope, of emotions. It’s very vulnerable because I felt a lot of things and put all that into the music. I want people to be involved in my life, in some sense.”
